Who Are We?

We are Christian

We are a fellowship of believers who embrace the basic tenets of the Christian faith. We believe that Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, died for the sins of mankind. Anyone who accepts this truth by faith, is born into the family of God.

We are Evangelical

Our faith aligns with the basic positions embraced by the Evangelical movement including the Trinity of God, the historic existence of Jesus Christ, God’s Son, who died for our sins, rose from the dead, and returned back to God the Father to intercede for the church until His return. We believe the Bible is the true word of God, infallible as a final authority in matters of Christian faith. We believe that all mankind is in need of salvation, which can only be obtained through a personal faith in Jesus Christ. We believe the evidences of salvation, within the believer, is expressed through the Holy Spirit and an ethical and moral lifestyle that reflects the personhood of Jesus Christ. We believe our foremost responsibility before God is to share the good news of salvation with all mankind.

We are Holiness

We believe the salvation of God goes beyond forgiveness of sin to a state of total reformation of the heart, mind and soul of the individual. By the power of the Holy Spirit, any believer who seeks this experience can come to love God with their entire heart, mind and soul in total obedience to God’s will.

We are Wesleyan

We trace our spiritual heritage back to John Wesley and early Methodism. We are Wesley/Arminian in doctrine, believing in the free will of each individual and the possibility of salvation for all.

The Wesleyan Church is a world wide denomination developed by the merger of the Pilgrim Holiness and Wesleyan Methodist churches in 1968. Our headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana directs over 2,700 churches throughout the world.

The Purpose of Darrow Road Wesleyan Church is to be a genuine expression of the Kingdom of God within the world.

Mission Statement:

The mission of Darrow Road Wesleyan Church is to glorify God by building His Kingdom through worship, outreach, nurture, and compassion.
