What is the significance of the phrase “you have heard that it was said?”
Is there a difference between what the world sees as being blessed and Gods view?
How does our anger often lead to retaliation and even vengeance?
How does loving and praying for our enemies change how we view them?
May 9- Matthew 6-7;
How often do we do stuff so we can be noticed or complimented?
When we are anxious, is our trust in God or ourselves?
When we talk to God or with others, are our words meaningless and empty, or do we
mean what we say?
Are we really comfortable holding ourselves to the same standards that we hold others to?
Does it really matter what we call God if we have an unrepentant heart?
May 10- Matthew 9; 14;
How often do we reach out and build relationships with non Christians especially who are
despised?
Is faith believing in something or putting into action what you believe?
If we could, would you do away with the people who called you out for your sin?
What is the bigger risk and reward, getting out of the boat or our comfort zone, or staying
in those places?
May 11- Mark 4-5
What seed are you?
Why do we try and hide or conceal the good news that we have?
Is our faith in God because we have no where else to go or is it because God is our first
choice?
May 12- Mark 6;
Are you willing to make absurd promises just so you can impress people?
Are we seeing God not working in our lives because we are to stubborn to let Him?
Do we take our security in material things or how God provides His good gifts for us?
How often do we go into a tail spin because we don’t have what we need and yet Jesus is
standing next to us?
May 13- Luke 10; 15
Who is our neighbor?
Are we more concerned with doing things for God or being in the presence of God?
Is the real prodigal the person with an ungrateful heart?
May 14- John 6
What does it mean that we will never thirst or be hungry again?
Do we only follow or chase God so we can get things and feel warm and fuzzy?
