June 10 – Habakkuk 1:1-11
- Do you ever feel that God lets evil and sin go unchecked?
- Does this mean that God does not care?
- Does God really let other nations do their thing to punish His people for sin?
- What happens when we rely on our own knowledge and strength?
June 11 – Habakkuk 1:12-2:1
- If God lets evil continue, do we doubt His goodness or His authority?
- How often do we try to distribute God’s justice for Him?
- How often do we wait for God and His response to our complaints?
- Left up to our own wants and desires, what kind of disaster can we come up with?
June 12 – Habakkuk 2:2-8
- Why do greed and lust always bring us down and destroy us?
- What makes it so hard for us to wait on God’s timing?
- How do the righteous live by faith?
June 13 – Habakkuk 2:9-14
- Does our definition and God’s definition of justice differ, and if so, how?
- Do we ever bend or break the rules to get what we want, or to make ourselves look better?
- If the stones will cry out, does this mean that we will be held accountable for our thoughts and actions?
June 14 – Habakkuk 2:15-17
- Are we willing to throw people under the bus either to get what we want or to mock them?
- If we really reap the seeds that we sow, are we comfortable with what those seeds will grow into?
June 15 – Habakkuk 2:18-20
- How often do our idols look like us, think like us, and tell us what we want to hear?
- How often is what we need to hear not the same as what we want to hear?
- How do we move from worshiping the created to worshiping the Creator?
- What makes it so hard to wait on God?
June 16 – Ecclesiastes 8:11-15
- Fear often drives us to do or not do things; what are those things for us?
- What does a good dose of healthy fear, especially for God, look like?
- Are we willing to do things to prolong this life that may have dire eternal consequences?
- How does choosing joy make this side of heaven better?
